SPRING Thai Massage BLISS CAMP IS BACK

The Bell has struck and the time is coming for our first long course back at our beautiful home.

Sometimes I imagine I am a spider listening to the subtleties that life presents and as I sit on my web and observe the changes and the needs of our community I've decided to have the courage and determination to offer a profound healing and learning environment once again at our beautiful location here in Gainesville Florida.

I would like to share the vision with you. We will be hosting a small residential experience. Ideally this class will be for those who don't live so near and have not been able to take any in person classes due to the distance and our current climate. We have room for six students. All of the students will be able to stay with us here at the Shala. We will live together practicing Thai-Massage daily. There will also be time for a walking, swimming, yoga and meditation.

North Florida is so beautiful this time of year and the nature is exquisite. We live very near a lake so there will be lots of opportunity to be in nature and enjoy the incredible wildlife.

The class format will look something like this -

Arrival Friday night for a light vegetarian meal.

Every morning from 7:30 to 8:30 will be an optional meditation and yoga space.

We will learn a different sequence every day. Class will begin at 9:30 until 12:30.

Lunch will be at 1 o'clock and then the option to rest.

In the evening we will be able to have a collective practice what we learned in the morning and possibly a music jam and time to create art and journal and simply be together. Dinners will be done collectively. We have a communal kitchen and we can help make food for each other as a family.

For those who have taken other trainings with me or are curious on the curriculum basically in these six full classes we will learn phase 1-3. On the last morning we will put all of the sequences together to refine and see what we have learned and then have a graduation party.

Long course intake form

Please copy and respond

1-Have you ever studied Thai-Massage? If yes, what is your level of training?

2-What is your main reason for wanting to come take this training?

3-Are you comfortable with communal environments? Have you had experience living and sharing in a group environment?

4-Are you willing to develop in generosity, patience, and communication if conflicts were to arise communally?

5- Although most of us have emotional injuries due to the past events of this year, is there something you are experiencing or currently processing that could bring up grief or affect others emotionally in our week long training? example: Death of a loved one, end of relationships, etc

6-Do you have any physical requirements that may need more attention during this workshop? Such as Allergies(specifically to animals) or very strict dietary needs

7- We Are not requiring students to be vaccinated to attend but we are requiring that students all test and provide Ariela with a negative Covid result prior to attending. To keep each other safe we will be requesting Students refrain from attending larger social events in the Gainesville area(Clubs, bars, festivals). Things like farmers market or walks in the park are some relatively safe ways of interacting in our community, and will be encouraged. Are you OK with that?

8- Is there anything you think Ariela should know before you commit to living with us for a week, practicing body work everyday, sharing food and living more simply than you may be used to?
